Let Learning Take Root
You know I’m never one to turn down an initiative for the schools– especially LTE. But this one I’m excited about! This one is as fun as it is impactful! So here we go…
As many of you know, Lake Travis Elementary (LTE) serves a substantial amount of the under-resourced students in the district — students who are full of curiosity, creativity, and potential. But many of them have never had the chance to plant a seed, grow their own food, or taste fresh produce straight from the source.
We want to change that.
By bringing a vertical hydroponic farm (Flex Farm) to their campus, we can give these students a powerful, hands-on way to learn.
Here’s what your gift will grow:
🌱 Year-round access to fresh, healthy greens grown right in their school
⚙️ STEM-based, real-world learning that connects science, sustainability, and nutrition
💚 Confidence and ownership as students see their care turn into growth
🥬 400 pounds of fresh produce every year — grown by the students themselves
This isn’t just a farm — it’s a classroom, a science lab, and a life lesson all in one.
When students learn to grow food with their own hands, they begin to see what else they’re capable of growing: discipline, teamwork, and possibility.
We need to raise $5,000 to bring this Flex Farm to LTE before October 31st.
Ordering before then ensures we they receive a slew of extras including a full, ready -to-implement K–5 nutrition education curriculum — a rare opportunity to maximize both impact and value.
Will you help us make this happen?
Every dollar helps us bring healthy food, ownership, and real-world STEM learning into the hands of our students.
Your support will help us create a space where students can see the direct results of their hard work and care — a space where they can grow their own food, build their confidence, and cultivate their curiosity.
Simply put “Flex Farm” in the notes when you donate.
