Support for Single Moms

Being a mom is hard, but being a single mom—working multiple jobs, managing bills, and trying to hold everything together—can feel impossible at times.

Through various means of support, 12:31 steps into that gap with practical, relational, and emotional care that restores hope and stability for families led by single mothers. It’s not a handout—it’s a helping hand.

We walk alongside moms facing housing instability, job loss, or the weight of doing life alone. Through individualized care, we help meet both immediate needs and long-term goals with wraparound support that includes:

  • After-School Care Assistance – We help cover the cost of after-school care for families so moms can work longer hours, pick up an extra shift, or attend night classes without the added worry of childcare costs. Beyond the financial help, this program gives moms breathing room—space to pursue better jobs, finish school, or simply rest—knowing their kids are safe, well cared for, and thriving in a structured, supportive environment.

  • Domestic Violence Recovery Support –For moms escaping abusive situations, we provide wraparound care that focuses on stabilization, safety, and rebuilding. This can include temporary housing assistance, help in securing new housing, providing household essentials, covering deposits or relocation costs, and connecting families with trauma-informed counseling and community advocates.

  • Emergency and Basic Needs Relief – Covering unexpected expenses like car repairs, medical co-pays, or utility bills that threaten to destabilize an already fragile budget.

  • Employment and Opportunity Support – Helping moms find flexible, sustainable work that balances parenting young children with earning a livable wage—through job connections, resume assistance, and partnerships with local employers who value family stability.

Every mom’s story is different, so our approach is never one-size-fits-all. Some need help finding stability after leaving a violent home. Others need help covering after-school care so they can keep a job that supports their family. And some just need someone to show up, listen, and remind them that they’re not alone.

When a single mom finds stability, her children find security—and that’s where lasting change begins.

“12:31 is who you message at 4 am for help when you’re hiding in a room with your three children because your partner is belligerent and kicking in doors, while you’re on the phone with 911, and the new baby is crying.

12:31 believed in me and gave me another chance at life.

Thank you for EVERYTHING you have done for me and my kids. Our lives have forever been changed for the better, and we will always remember and stay inspired by the love and compassion we have been shown.”
